You will notice white rock burms placed at different distances. These
are used as a backdrop for the rimfire sihouette shoots to make the small black silhouettes more visible. There are 9
movable steel and concrete benchs at the fireing line for use by the membership. They provide an excellent base
for benchrest shooting. Personal target holders can be placed at any distance that allows rounds to be captured within the
impact area.
The pistol range is to the left as you enter the front gate. The
impact area is approx. 150 feet wide with a max range of approx. 120 feet. You will need to provide your own target stands
and target holders for shooting pistols. DO NOT hang targets on the steel posts in front of the impact area. The building
at the pistol range is not for use by club members. DO NOT shoot from the covered porch of that building. Photos coming
soon!
The RESTROOM is in the building at the West end of the parking area
with a white door. The restroom in not stocked all the time so plan accordingly. THERE IS NO
POTABLE WATER AT THE RANGE. BRING WATER IF YOU PLAN ON AN EXTENDED SESSION.
There is a picnic area between the restrooms and the rifle
range. There are several picnic tables on a concrete pad, shaded by small oaks, for relaxing away from the fireing line.
Be sure to wash up if you handled any lead ammo.

Meeting Highlights from 1/20/2009 The
first meeting of the new year was called to order, by the 2009 president Marty Klier, at Kelseyville High School. Highlights
of the meeting were as follows, the introduction of three new club members. Implementation of the new events reporting program.
This program should make the task of keeping us up to speed in regard to finances, and attendance, of our shooting programs,
easier. It should, hopefully, make it easier for the events coordinators as well. The membership voted to buy
a table at the Friends of the N.R.A. banquet, and raffle four seats, as well as the firearm, we will receive for buying a
table. Some new shooting benches, and sponsoring part of the traveling Vietnam war memorial, were discussed. The
raffle went well, and Phil Kaplar announced that a 40-75 Barska spotting scope would be raffled at the March meeting, with
ticket sales starting at the February meeting. Melissa Fulton was recognized for her many years of service to the club.
A letter informing members of some of the new range behavior modification rules will be sent out with your new membership
cards.
