Safety is ALWAYS first!

Safety always comes first and we make sure everyone has fun!

The KRGC Youth Shooting Sports Program begins with teaching the basics of safety. Safe gun handling comes next and then range rules. Once a Youth member has that down, we move into marksmanship.

Participants will have an opportunity to earn awards through the NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program. Coaches will be on hand to assist shooters at all levels. Qualification targets will be used and it is optional. There will be multiple reactive targets out for those who just want to shoot for fun. Bring hearing protection and eye protection if you have them. We have a limited number of each available. There is no drinkable water at the range, bring your own. Bring your own chairs because seating is very limited.

Youth Coaching

The Family Fun Shoot was a huge success. Over 140 people attended and had a great time shooting. There was a wide variety of targets out on the range. Did you know when you shoot a .50 cal. muzzleloader at a #10 can filled with flour that flour shoots about 20 feet in the air? That's a crowd pleaser there!.. Some guests stayed all 5 hours and ate breakfast and lunch. There were lots of happy kids and parents and they had very positive comments about the event.

One on one instruction for beginers.

Each shoot is planned out, so participants can check here for the discipline being taught at the next shoot. We have certified instructors for Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun, Black Powder Muzzleloading and Range Safey. Youth participants are welcome to bring their own safe firearms to use on the range. All .22 rimfire and some shotgun ammo is provided. Questions? Contact Youth Coordinator: Rick Walker 707-994-7531 or E-mail at info@krgc.org

We have 2 electric Shooting Galleries generously donated to our program by Caldwell Shooting Products. These are challenging, battery powered moving target machines. They will be a lot of fun. See you there!
