Official NRA High Power Rules

2012 KONOCTI ROD & GUN CLUB

N.R.A. APPROVED HIGH POWER SPORTING RIFLE MATCH PROGRAM


DATE & TIME: April 14, June 16, July 21 at 8:00 am


LOCATION: Konocti Rod and Gun Club Range, Lakeport, CA


ENTRANCE FEE: $15.00 Adults, $10.00 Juniors

 

N.R.A. CLASSIFICATION: High Power will be used unless you have a High Power Sporting


AWARDS: A First Place trophy will be given for the Top Score in the following groups:
Master, Expert, Sharpshooter, Marksman, Senior, Women, Junior & Senior.

A "Match Winner" trophy will also be awarded. Only highest award earned will be

awarded.

COURSE OF FIRE: 32 rounds for score, all in 100 yards.


SIGHTERS: 5 minutes, no limit on number of rounds.


SLOW PRONE: 8 rounds in 8 minutes.


SLOW STANDING: 8 rounds in 8 minutes.


RAPID SITTING: 8 rounds – 2 strings of 4 rounds in 30 seconds, per string.


RAPID PRONE: 8 rounds - 2 strings of 4 rounds in 30 seconds, per string.


RIFLES: Any safe center fire sporting rifle with a scope or iron sights, and with a total weight not to exceed 9 ½ pounds without the sling. A sling may be used in all positions. Slings must be 1 1/4 inches wide or less, no cuff.

N.R.A. High Power Sporting Rifle Book applies.

TARGETS: SR-1; Standing, Sitting & Prone.


CHALLENGE: Will be allowed, $1.00 fee will be returned if sustained.

 

LIABILITY: K.R. & G.C. Accepts no liability for personal injury, theft or property damage involving competitors or spectators.

ALCOHOL IS NOT ALLOWED on the range.

SAFETY: Safety is important above all else & any safety violations may result in the removal of the competitor from the match by range officials. Eye and ear protection required.

DIRECTIONS: From the South: Turn left on Hwy 29 at the traffic light in Lower Lake.  Drive approx. 20 miles to Highland Springs Rd. Turn left & drive 3.9 miles to fork in road. Stay to the left, drive 1 mile to the range.

From the East: Left from Hwy 20 to Hwy 53 to Lower Lake traffic light. Turn right & follow directions above.

From the West: Right from Hwy 20 to Hwy 29. Drive through Lakeport to Highland Springs Rd. Turn right & follow directions above.
